You are not alone.

Supporting those who need a helping hand

Stevie’s Walk is a not-for-profit organisation founded by the Callanan family and their close friends, brought together by a shared commitment to honour Steven’s memory and give back to their local community in a meaningful way.

At its heart, Stevie’s Walk is a community-led initiative focused on supporting young people and their families through awareness, education, early intervention, and genuine community connection. We believe no young person should feel alone when facing life’s challenges, and that support and conversation before crisis can make a powerful difference.

Steven & Mishka

Suicide and mental health struggles are complex, and they are not always caused by mental illness alone. Many young people experience overwhelming pressures including isolation, grief, bullying, family challenges, financial stress, substance use, or simply feeling unsupported and disconnected.

Through fundraising and community support, Stevie’s Walk helps fund preventative initiatives such as mental health awareness programs, educational talks, wellbeing workshops, and community-based support delivered through schools, sporting clubs, youth groups, and local organisations.

Driven by compassion and a deep desire to create positive change, Stevie’s Walk brings people together to build stronger, more supportive communities — helping young people access the guidance, connection, and support they need before reaching crisis point.

Our Mission

Stevie’s Walk is committed to funding and supporting evidence-based, early intervention initiatives that strengthen youth mental wellbeing and help reduce the risk of suicide creating safer, more connected environments where young people feel supported, understood, and empowered to seek help when needed.

We support programs, education, awareness campaigns, and community initiatives that create safer, more connected environments for young people — whether through schools, sporting clubs, youth organisations, families, or the wider community. Our focus is on encouraging open conversations, reducing stigma, and helping young people access support early.

Our Vision

A future where no young person feels alone, unsupported, or without hope.

We envision communities where mental wellbeing is openly discussed, where young people feel connected and understood, and where families, schools, clubs, and communities work together to create supportive environments that nurture resilience, connection, and emotional wellbeing.

Our Approach

Stevie’s Walk is not a broad, generalised mental health charity.

We are a youth-focused, early intervention foundation that believes meaningful change happens through education, awareness, connection, and community support. Rather than providing direct financial assistance to individuals, we invest in preventative initiatives that help create positive conversations and stronger support networks around young people.

Our approach recognises that mental health struggles and suicide are complex, and are not always linked to mental illness alone. Life pressures such as isolation, grief, bullying, family difficulties, substance use, financial stress, and social disconnection can all play a role.

By supporting the people, environments, and systems that influence young lives, we aim to create lasting community impact and ensure more young people receive support before reaching crisis point.

Why Stevie’s Walk exists

Stevie’s Walk was created by the Callanan family and close friends as a way to honour Steven’s life and turn heartbreak into something meaningful for the wider community.

What began as a walk in Steven’s memory has grown into an ongoing commitment to support young people, raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and help create stronger support networks within the community.

Stevie’s Walk exists to help break down the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide, while promoting the importance of early intervention, connection, and community support. Through fundraising and community involvement, the organisation supports preventative initiatives designed to educate, empower, and ensure young people know they are never alone.

At its core, Stevie’s Walk is about creating hope, strengthening community connections, and helping make sure support is available before someone reaches crisis point.
